Chili Chocolate Fondue

A fondue party is the perfect way to ring in the New Year. For hosts, what’s better than having your guests gather ’round a pot of delicious cheese or chocolate fondue for a fun retro party?

With that in mind, here’s a fondue recipe from Fairytale Brownies, which since 1992 has been making brownies (of course), cookies and bars, all-natural and baked with ingredients such as Belgian dark chocolate, farm fresh eggs, pure creamery butter and dark brown sugar.

Chili Chocolate Fondue
3 dark chocolate candy bars (3½ ounces each), chopped
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground ancho chili pepper
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a small heavy saucepan, melt chocolate with all ingredients except vanilla. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Serve with cubes of Fairytale Brownies (see note), fruit or other dipping items.
